Binary Code
Binary code is how the computer thinks/carry out instructions/save files. They only use 1's and 0's to carry out all tasks.
What is optical storage?
A method of reading and writing data to disc using a laser.
A CD ROM
A CD ROM is made out of 5 layers. One of the layers has bumps for the computer to read. To read the CD ROM it reflects a fun size laser over the bumps and flats going in a spiral that is 200 times smaller than a human hair and convert these into 1's and 0's- the language the computer reads.
